Daytrips to Tropical Waterfalls, Exotic Gardens and White Beaches

Next to excellent diving you can join our daytrip to the waterfall or explore the Orchid Gallery and nearby beaches on your own.

At the dive center we organize beautiful daytrips combining some diving with a stroll along jungle covered river banks to the water falls. You like more action, join Planet Action for some of their adventure activities. Or just relax at a beach...

Kawasan Waterfalls and Nature Park

Once a week we organize a daytrip to the Kawasan Waterfalls. We start at 9:00am and conduct first a nice boat dive either in Pescador Island or Sampanguita. These dive spots are also nice for snorkeling. After the dive we continue our journey to the waterfalls. It takes us about 30 min. to get to the Matutinao River . Here we go on shore and after a 30 minute walk through the idyllic tranquility of the jungle we will arrive at the first and biggest fall, as high as 15 meters. Here is our base, where we swim and play in fresh and cool water. The brave of us can climb up the fall and dare a jump. After a nice barbecue for lunch we relax and enjoy the scenery, swim some more or explore the other stages of the falls. Early afternoon we had back to the dive center, where we arrive around 4pm.

Outdoor Action-Adventure Activities

Few people know that the southern towns of Cebu is a haven for extreme action-adventure. Orchid Gallery in Moalboal

The Orchid Gallery has one of the biggest orchid displays in South East Asia . It has a lot of tropical orchid varieties, collected from different places around Asia, South America and Hawaii . Here you can find rare varieties from miniature Ascocerdas to the very big flowers of Vandas and Cattleyas. Orchid Gallery is now the major supplier of potted plants, hanging Vandas, on trunks and on top cuts in Cebu . If you are interested in Orchids, or if you just want to stroll through our magnificent tropical garden setting, or if you just want to relax and sunbathe and cool down once in a while in our swimming pool, in any of these cases you are welcome at the Orchid Gallery.

Beaches around Moalboal and Badian

beachvolleyball moalboal The nearest beach is White Beach (Basdako), about 8 km from the dive center. You can cover the distance by hiring a tricycle, a motor bike at Chili Bar or a mountain bike at Planet Action Adventures. At White Beach you'll find some plosh beach resorts and a bunch of nippa huts just next to each other. The nippa huts are rented out by locals for a small fee. At weekends, especially on Sundays and holidays, a lot of Filipinos, tourists and expats head to the beach for fun and swimming, barbecue and drinking. If you like karaoke, barbecue and beach volleyball, you are at the right spot. If you like unspoiled and quiete beaches, head for Green Island, about 15km away. Just rent a motor bike or, if you are fit, a mountain bike.
