Diving deep and diving with sharks are some of the most thrilling and exhilarating dive activities an adventurous diver can wish for.

But both activities require some special training so they can be conducted safely. Here in Moalboal we have the perfect conditions for deep and shark diving.

Our deep diving training is conducted at one of the overhanging walls nearby the dive center. Learn safe deep diving procedures, proper and safe descents and ascents, safety and emergency decompression stops and much more, in a minimum of 2 dives, and earn your deep diver certification.

After that, head to Pescador Island and apply your deep diving knowledge and skills in 2 deep dives where you will look for our resident reef sharks. The sharks usually patrol in a depth of 30 – 40, (100 – 140 feet) and you have very good chances to have a shark encounter. SSI SPECIALTY COURSE DEEP DIVING

DEEP DIVER COURSE Dive in places where only a few have explored before! Get the experience of diving on a wreck or with sharks below 100 feet/30 metres! To do these dives safely, you need the right skills and the right knowledge and that is exactly what DEEP DIVING provides you.

Without proper training this kind of diving is an uncontrollable safety risk. To plan your dives properly you must first know about all of the potential risks involved in DEEP DIVING. SSI’s DEEP DIVING course will provide you with the skills, knowledge and experience required to make these types of dives safely and comfortably.

SSI and SHARKPROJECT have decided to actively support the positive image of sharks by founding the SHARK DIVER Program.

Experience the fascination of sharks in an unforgettable way! Divers and non-divers have the chance to find out more about sharks and to learn the correct techniques when meeting sharks. Dives are optional in this program and therefore it is a perfect “holiday-prep-specialty” before your diving vacation starts. You will be able to apply the knowledge you have gained to future shark dives.

SSI is donating 10% of the income from SHARK DIVER Specialty Program to shark preservation. As a participant in the program you are making an active contribution to help secure the survival of sharks.
