Savedra Dive Center in Moalboal, Cebu, Philippines
Savedra Dive Center is an established dive center with a long and colorful history. Founded in 1983 by German diver Manfred Langer, it was one of the first dive centers in Moalboal. However, Manfred decided to sell the dive center after 2 years and founded instead Kontiki Divers on Mactan Island and pioneered dive safaris. Dive safaris in those days meant sleeping in tents on the beach or under the sunroof of the outrigger boats.
In the year 1989 Seven Seas Aquanauts Phil. Corp. was founded when he took over another dive shop at the then well-known Club Pacific in Sogod, Cebu. The resort closed in 1995 and in partnership with fellow diver Karl H. Epp Savedra Dive Center in Moalboal was taken over again by Seven Seas Aquanauts. Unfortunately Manfred passed away in 2014 but Seven Seas Aquanaut and Savedra Dive Center continues to prosper. Nowadays Savedra Dive Center is a PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Center and a credited TecRec Dive Center, offering technical diving courses and conducting technical diving exploration dives.
