Who you will train with
Savedra is a PADI 5 star Career Development Center, we specialize in professional training and have on our full time staff a team of Course Directors, Instructor Trainers, Master Instructors and Staff Instructors. It is rare to find this level of experience under one roof. You will get to work with all of these instructors during your training, this in turn will give you the best possible start to your new career.
What you will learn
Any good diving course goes beyond the minimum requirements set by the agency, in addition to the basic curriculum you will get unlimited diving during your training, we want you to get as much experience as possible. You will have the opportunity to participate in equipment repair and servicing, compressor use and much more.
What really sets us apart is the opportunity to work one on one with some very experienced instructors, experience matters, you can only teach what you know, your course will be run by an PADI IDC staff instructor or PADI Master Instructor who is a full time member of our crew.
All of our Divemaster programs start with 2 weeks of scheduled classes, workshops, confined water training, and open water training, this is followed by two weeks of on the job experience where you will work with our boat crews, Divemasters and Instructors. Following that candidates have the option to add time to programs to gain as much hands on experience as they need.
Equipment
At this level you should have your own equipment, you will be more comfortable, you can better tailor it to suit you, you can be sure it is well maintained and as a result your skills will develop more quickly.
Additionally when you begin working as a Divemaster it is rare to find an employer that provides equipment for you.
If you do not yet have your own gear we can help you, use our experience to make sure you get the best equipment for you at a 20% discount rate from RRP. If you do prefer to rent for now this is not a problem, we can provide a full set for you for a low weekly cost.
PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) Leader
PADI Divemasters have the option to take additional training to become DSD Leaders, meaning you can independently conduct the DSD program. This provides a massive boost for you in terms of employment and income.
We offer this training to all of our Divemaster Trainees, there is no extra charge from us, but there will be a small registration fee for you to pay PADI, ask us for the latest rate.
PADI Divemaster Packages
If you would like to get a head start on your studies you can include the optional Divemaster e-learning program in your package, this includes all of the content of the PADI Divemaster Manual, meaning when you arrive there will be less study and more diving.
If you are likely to move forward to the Instructor Development Course and become a PADI Dive Instructor we highly recommend the PADI Dive Theory e-learning option, providing valuable training that will benefit you during the IDC and Instructor Exams, this will also give you 50% credit towards your Divemaster final exam.
